Teddy Bear Virus

Craig

I have been advised that if I had a program titled,
jdbgmgr.exe with a Teddy Bear next to it, it was a virus
that needed to be deleted. I searched and found it in my
computer, and immediately deleted it. Now, I have been
told by another person that it was not a virus, and that
program is needed ??
Please help.
Thanks

It's not a virus and you don't need it. The virus story
was a hoax. Don't concern yourself.

There is a real MS program, with a teddy-bear icon. i can't remember, but i
believe it was for Java debugging. So if you don't routinely debug Java
programs, you can do without the file.

To complicate things, there was a hoax going around saying this file was a
virus, and you should delete it immediatly.

To further complicate things, there was a trojan going around with that
filename and icon.

So. Most likely you erased a perfectly innocous file, that you don't need
anyway.
