TCPSVCS.EXE

Hi all i hav a very annoying problem. for several months
now my computer has been running slow. my friend advised
me to check what was running in windows task manager.
when i did this, i had a program running in processes
using 99% of my computer usage. the program is called
TCPSVCS.EXE. I did a search on the web for info on it and
i get conflicting details about it. some people say it is
spyware and some say it is a windows program and i shut
it down permanantly by using msconfig and deselecting it
in the start up tab in msconfig, so it stops running when
i reboot. I tried this but it isnt in the start up list.
but i can turn it off using windows task manager by
ending process, but i hav to do this everytime i reboot.
Is this program a threat? should it be removed or turned
off? and if so how?

Ignore my recomendation of prior message. That would have
to purchase their spy removal utility. And I doubt thats
required. You should run a virus scan, if don't have
virus protection, the money spent on prior web site
recomendation would be enough for basic virus proctection
from symantic.

....also, run the virus scan from Safe Mode so that the a/v can
quarantine any executables that would otherwise be running.
