Taskbar gone weird

Hi,
My taskbar has gone wierd. it wont display the current running tasks/apps.
They are there cos I can alt-tab thru them.I have tried opening and closing
other toolbars to try and force it to come back but to no avail. It appears
that the quick launch tool bar dominates the bar and there is no right
marker/handle to adjust it. Obviously part of the prob.

It's making me nuts!! Any help very much appreciated.!!!

Rightclick the Taskbar and uncheck "Lock the taskbar" and see if the
handles return.
