Taskbar buttons not showing on one user id on family computer

I suddenly am unable to see any taskbar buttons for open applications when I
sign on using my user id on our home computer. However, two other users on
the same PC are able to see open application taskbar buttons. How come I am
the only one affected and is there a way I can restore them?

So you can't Right-click the Start button, and then click Properties.
And on the Taskbar tab to make sure the "Auto-hide box the taskbar" isn't
check?

OR

Ctrl+Tab then right-click the Start button?

I did make sure that the "Auto-hide Box the taskbar" wasn't checked and I
still can't see the taskbar options. THe only way I can find minimized
applications is by using Alt Tab. Thanks.
