download and run Process Explorer
http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ProcessExplorer.html

Double click on the process(s), reading it's image and command line
will tell you where to find them. stop the process and delete the
file/directory.

Run Regedit and search for the file name(s) deleting them as you find
them.

Right clicking on the Process and selecting Google will describe the
process.

On the other hand, if you've found something that works for you...

I see that there are four download versions listed for Process Explorer
although it says that all zip files are identical(?), how do I find out if I
need 32-bit or 64-bit?

"In order to help us track its use, please download through the link
that represents the operating system on which you will use or mostly
use Process Explorer."

Just download one for your system it gives sysinternals a glimpse of
who or what is using their program.

Since they are the same 32 and 64 bit choice, grab one that represents
your system.

I see, thanks.
