Target Designer

I have been successful creating XPe images for my x86 target. I have tried
using a couple of Design Templates: Windows-based Terminal Professional AND
Information Appliance. When I boot the target into XPe (after the First Boot
Agent goes through its thing) it goes right into Windows and there are no
icons on the Desktop or under the Start Button. When I click on the Start
Button all I get is "Logoff" and "Shutdown". I cannot even right click on the
Desktop and get a menu. The ONLY think I can do is Logoff/Shutdown. I have
items like Command Shell, Explorer Shell, and Internet Explorer in my image
(along with the Template) - it is a pretty beefy image. What am I missing or
doing wrong that is preventing me from getting anything to appear on my
Desktop or under the Start Button?

Thanks,
Todd

The User Interface Core component has a number of settings that add the
kinks to the start bar. Als try adding the Standard Windows Shortcuts
component.

What version of XPe are you using? The reason I asked is that FP2007 took
care of this issue with some items check in the User interface Copre
component already.

Todd,

The component you may want to add is "Standard Start Menu Shortcuts".
Also, you'd need to tweak the "User Interface Core" component's settings. There you can enable the right click (context menu) on
Start Menu, Taskbar and etc.
