Hi, I'm hooked on Windows Spider Solitaire, and although I find the
winning sound has a nice satisfying stereo aural effect, it's volume
is set too low (compared to the other much louder sounds in the
game)and seems rather anticlimatic.
I knew there was a tada.wav file in C:\WINDOWS\Media and when I
checked it in WMP it was the same volume. So I downloaded a sound
editor and increased it's loudness and resaved it. But that didn't
seem to work, it was the same low volume even after rebooting.
Is this sound hardcoded into the game? I didn't seem to think so as
there's sometimes a delay and drive access when a sound plays in the
game for the first time.
Any thoughts? Thanks.
