Table linking problems - Access 2002

I'm still using Access 2002. I have a front end database that is linked to
back end on our department server, Novell network. I recently added a new
table, and now when I try to change the link to the tables Access just
returns me to the finder dialog and won't change the link if I have all the
tables selected. I can select individual tables and sometimes groups of
tables, and I can eventually re-link all the tables. When I'm working on
program modifications I like to link to a copy of the back end and then
switch back after everything has been verified. I even created a new blank
database and imported all the tables from my working back end, but I still
cannot link all of the tables at once. Anyone have an idea?

Thank you for your prompt response and for the suggestions. Yes, I always
check the "Always Prompt" checkbox. And there is only one back end. When I
first created this new table, I created it in the back end without thinking.
So I imported it into the front end and then deleted the original. Could
this have caused the problem?

I "think" everything is up to date. The strange thing about this is that it
is the new table that seems to be causing the problem. I hadn't added or
changed any tables for quite some time. The first time I couldn't link like
I have been doing for the last eight years with this database I restored a
backup and tried linking and everything worked as expected until I added the
new table again.
