system shutdown

I have XP and I have been having a problem with windows
shutting down. I get a message that says "This shut down
was initiated by NT/Authority System. Windows must be
shut down because the remote procedure call servic
terminated unexpectedly." There is a countdown and when
it gets to zero the computer shuts down. I would
appreciate any help on this matter.

Thanks.

Hey Lori,

You are not alone. I am experiencing the EXACT same
problem!!! It is very annoying and I wish I could make
it stop. If you get any useful info on that please send
it my way.

Thanks,
Becky :)

Search for msblast.exe on your computer. If you find it, search for
information on how to stop, then remove the msblast virus.

If you want to abort the shutdown go to command prompt and type in:

shutdown -a

Then go to www.symantec.com and download the mablast cleaning tool.
After you have done that got and patch you're computer against mblast.
