I have Windows XP Home edition. 2.4 Pentium 4 processor,
1028 MB RAM. Gateway CPU unit.
When I use System Restore and my system reboots I get the
message:
"Restoration Incomplete"
"Your computer cannot be restored to Tuesday Aug 25, 2003
system checkpoint. No changes have been made to your
computer."
I have tried using restore points back to Aug 13, 2003
and still get the same message.
How can I get System Restore to work.
Thank you,
.
To reset SR (but will delete all the Restore Points):
1) Right-click My Computer on Descktop and select
Properties.
2) Select the System Restore tab.
3) Disable System Restore and Apply changes.
4) Most of the files should now be deleted. (If not re-
boot the machine)
5) Re-enable System Restore by following the first 2 steps
above.
Hope this helps!
