I am trying to re-install System Restore on my XP Home Edition.

I have located the sr inf file but when I press Install get the following
Error message

The file sr.sys on Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 CD is needed. Type
the path where the file is located and click OK.

I dont have the CD and have no idea of where the file or its path are
located. Any help would be appreciated

Point to %Windir%\ServicePackFiles folder, or insert your slipstreamed
Windows XP (matching the Service Pack level of your system.)

Slipstreaming process can be automated using the Freeware AutoStreamer
utility. You can download the software from here:
AutoStreamer:

To do this manually, look for other Slipstreaming guides here.
