System Restore & can't find a program in Add and Remove

My system restore worked until about 2 hours ago, now I'm unable to use any
dates at all. Checked the "SR" and said either a system problem or corrupt
files. The problem that started this was installing Nokia PC Suite and the
driver for the DKU-2 usb cable. Installation did not work (the driver was
not installed), but when I tried to reinstall the driver, the error message
said that it WAS installed and cannot be reinstalled. I have checked device
drivers and it is not listed. I was told by tech support at Nokia I needed
to uninstall and start over. The programs are not listed in the Add and
Remove software. That is why I went to System Restore. I have gone thru
this process 4-5 times. This has been going on for hours now. I was able to
use the System Restore 2 times, now it is getting the above mentioned error
message. And I still can't find where the Nokia PC Suite and driver might
be. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked for the driver files on the installation disk. If they show
there simply search for them on your HDD and delete. If you can't find them
then ask Nokia the names of the files you should look for.

You might look in a C:\program files\Nokia\ or c:\..\common files\ or
equivalent folder.. Also, check the [c:\windows\system32\
(c:\..\system32\drivers\)] or c:\..\system\ folder..

To reinstall system restore, un-hide the c:\windows\inf folder and right
click sr.inf and click install..If you need to, you can also clear the "hide
extensions for known file types" box, in my computer, tools, folder options,
view tab..
You will lose all your previously created restore points, if you do choose
to reinstall system restore..
