System error after installing Access 97 and Access 2002

I have Access 97 and Access 2002 installed on my XP Pro system. I had the
error that Access 97 No License Error Message and I changed the name of the
hatten.ttf font to hatten.sav. Now when I try to start Access 97 I get an
error message that says: A system error occured or there isn't enough free
memory to start microsoft Access. Close unneeded programs and try again.

I have closed all unnecessary startup files and I should have enough memory
and I get the same error message. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Eva

A bug in earlier versions of Jet if you have more than 1 GB of RAM. If that
applies to you then update jet to version 3.51 to correct.

I was experiencing the same problems as described below. I ran the setup
again and selected the Custom installation and checked to install Access
only. Previously I was receiving "out of memory" error messages and
"missing system.mda file." You might want to give this a try as I am now
able to run the program. I have am using XP and MS Office Ver 7.02.
