System Configuration Utility Problem

I rebooted my system and received a window saying I used the System
Configuration Utility to make changes. It goes on to say the Utility is in
Diagnostic or Selective Startup mode.

I went into msconfig just to look around but didn't change the startup mode.
And now, when I Run>msconfig nothing happens. I think that must be where
the configuration command is located but since it won't run, I need a 'back
door'. How else can I run msconfig...or is this where the System
Configuration Utility is, anyway.

I've just 'Restored' my C: drive information onto a much larger hard disk
using an external disk drive and Norton's Ghost. I hope I'm not
experiencing system instability from that!

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I got it fixed. I was holding the error message (Configuration Utility
window) open to refer to in this post and when I closed it, the
Configuration Utility opened. I set it for a normal startup and rebooted.
It came up just fine and Run>msconfig works, too.

No problems, now.
