System Configuration Utility Nag Screen

Hi,

The System Configuration Utility (SCU) Nag Screen appears whenever I
restart Windows XP Home. It won't go away.

I disabled (unchecked) msmsgs in the SCU Startup tab. Whenever I restart
Windows, I get:

You have used the SCU to make changes to the way Windows starts.
The SCU is currently in Diagnostic or Selective Start Up mode, causing
this message to be displayed everytime Windows starts.
Choose the Normal Start Up mode on the General tab to start Windows
normally and undo the changes you made using the SCU.

Then there's the check box that says:

Don't show this message or lauch the SCU when Windows starts.

I have this box checked, but I still get the message upon every start up.
Anyone know why?

TIA,
Bruce

I think I would let it configure Startup like it was before you shut things
down, then reboot a couple of times and start all over again. Maybe
something didn't click the first time.

Thanks, but been there, done that.

I had the same problem and it was really annoying and then when i was
tinkering with my programs i realised i had "Start up faster 2004" on my
system and it was in the start up of this, so it kept on appearing. When i
deleted it from the start up of that program, it cleared the problem.
Just check to see if you are running a similar program and just delete it
from that programs start up menu
I hope this helps.
