svchost.exe error message

When I initially open hotmail from Explorer I get the
following error message: "svchost.exe has generated errors
and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart
the program." I can use hotmail during the current session
but have to exit explorer and restart my computer to
reaccess hotmail. It also stops me from accessing links,
properties on my home web page, etc. Can anyone help?

There is a virus going around with svchost.exe. There is also a patch out,
sorry I dont have a link to it, read about the virus here:
