Strange slowdowns

Two days ago, I was playing Star Wars Galaxies when it
froze up. I was forced to reboot and when I got to the
Windows XP login screen I typed my password in and it
said "loading personal settings". It stayed that way for
several minutes before it finally got the desktop up. It
has happened two more times since and now the login will
slow down even without playing SWG. I would be contacting
their tech support but I'm not sure it's the game. My
anti-virus software is up to date and I've run a full
scan on my pc. What could be wrong with it and what can I
do? Thanks for your help.

Hi,

There seems to be problems floating around right now.
I'm not certain that you have our problem. Look at newer
posts to see if others' problems are your problem.

Our problem is that our computers slow to an usuable
state. Dick sometimes has gotten as little as one minute
of use. That's where I thought you might fit.

The others are Marie, Dick Shrewsbury, ogi, Courtney, Pat
Nolan, Dan, Bill W, Keith, Mario, Asvin, David Brewster,
Yatty, Allen, Chris, H.P, Chris Scott

Dick, Allen, Mario, and I all get temporarily cured by a
restart of the computer. Do you?

We also have the CPU in the 90% range when it is slow and
nothing is open/running.

Look for posts with subjects of
Slow computer
High CPU usage

I feel like its a new, undocumented virus thingy

But I have seen other posts that might fit you better.
