Strange MSAS popup

While on the internet and clicking on my favorites button
I got a popup from MSAS that said this:

Occured on: 6/17/2005 at 11:57:42 PM

The user Kirk Mango, has decided to allow the Internet
Explorer Bar Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
({EFA24E61-B078-11D0-89E4-00C04FC9E26E})
c:\windows\system32\shdocvw.dll to be added to Internet
Explorer.

At first I blocked this then another warning from MSAS
right in the middle of my screen that stated something to
the effect that if I blocked this that IE may not
function properly or something like that. So, as
indicated by the above, I allowed this toolbar to be
added, however, nothing changed in my IE. If I did not
have MSAS I would never have known this had occurred and
do not really know what happened or what was changed in
IE. By the way I was not surfing the net yet and had
just opened IE and clicked on the favorites button.

Today I got this:

Occured on: 6/19/2005 at 11:01:57 AM

Internet Explorer Bar Microsoft Shell Doc Object and
Control Library c:\windows\system32\shdocvw.dll has been
granted permission to be installed. This program is in
the user's allowed Explorer Bar list.

What is all of this and why is this happening? Is this
something I need to be concerned about? Is it legit?
Nothing that I can see has changed in IE at all and so
far everything is working fine. Any help on this would
be appreciated.

I don't know what's going on here. I'd keep an eye on it, and consider
doing full scans with both antivirus and antispyware. However, I tend to
share the idea that this is a bug of some sort, not malware at work.
