Str TokEx cannot be located in MSOERT2.dll

One of our salesmen is having a problem using outlook. He
is able to open the program, but can't write or send e-
mails. When he tries to compose or send an e-mail, an
error message appears saying "The procedure entry point
Str TokEx could not be located in the dynamic link library
MSOERT2.dll" THat is followed by " An error occurred
while attempting to open the Windows Address Book. Unable
to find WAB.DLL" All of this has accurred after he had
his computer fixed. He downloaded some Windows updates
from Microsoft.com and it would boot up after the
download. He took it to a shop and they ran a Windows
2000 disk of some kind to diagnose the problem and fix
it. We have tried to repair Office 2000 and also have
removed Office 2000 and re-installed. Any ideas?????
Thanks!!!

check the version # on the dll, then rename MSOERT2.dll to MSOERT2.old - SFC
should replace it for you almost instantly - see if the version # changed
then see if outlook works.

if the files have different #, then an update changed it. Repair failed
because it doesn't replace newer dlls.
