Hi,i have Windows XP PROFESSIONAL.

I want to stop any mouse movement from bringing my pc out of "standby"
mode.I can`t find a setting to stop it.I`ve heard there is no setting to
stop it in XP- PRO.True or not?
Any help will be appreciated.Thank you.

Open Mouse in Control Panel. On the Hardware tab click Properties. On the
Power Management tab uncheck "Allow this device to bring the computer out of
standby." Click OK.

I don`t have that setting on my pc for some unknown reason. There is no "power management" heading for the mouse at all.As mentioned before, this feature might not be available in XP PRO.
I have another pc at home with XP HOME---and it does have the setting you
mentioned.

Sorry to say I don't know why you don't have the Power Management setting. I
have three XP Pro computers here at home and it (the Power Management
option) appears on all of them.

Hopefully someone else will be able to point you in the right direction.

Turn your mouse over on its back and it should play dead.
