Stop message while installing windows 2000 professional

Hi there,
I get the following stop messages when I am installing
windows 2000 on a computer that used to run Linux.
The drives were partitioned and so I deleted the
partitions and now I can't install 2000.

STOP 0X0000001E, (0XC0000005, 0X40326A83, 0X00000000,
0X40326A83)
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDELED

What size(in MB) partition for Win2000?
what file system fat32 or ntfs formatted from win2000?
Is it the whole drive or in Linux terms which hda (if IDE
drive)?
As I have dual boot with Linux & Win2000 Pro install OK.
