Hello,
I've had this problem with my comp for a while now, and am only now getting
around to asking about it. I have an Acer TravelMate 8104WLMi with a Centrino
processor etc etc.
My problem is, a while ago I began having 'corrupted file' problems,
suddenly a bunch of my files (including my Outlook.psd file) became
'corrupted' and Windows wouldn't open them. I was told to run chkdsk. Here is
my problem: i cant run chkdsk in windows, obviously cuz it cant lock the
drive, but whenever CHKDSK does run, half way through I get a stop error
similar to the following:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
....
STOP: 0x000000D1 (0xEE498030, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xEE48523), then
something about afd.sys and US30XP.sys
although this is a BSOD error, for some reason nothing is saved in my
C:\windows\minidump folder, even though dumping is enabled in system
properties.
I'd appreciate any help, this problem is driving me crazy.
Thanks,
RG
