still got white pages

Help! I've posted before and tried solution offered but
no go so far. On a laptop I use I cannot view many pages
on the net - eg Microsoft Update Pages or Downloads or
even these newsgroup pages. Also some other 'secure'
pages like bank transactions - just get blank, white
pages!" Please help - any clues would be great!!
Thanks. Have tried repairing explorer and Enabling almost
all the options and removing firewall already
