status bar says "Done"

Problem:

On a site I manage, pages with form submissions recently have been returning
"blank pages" after hitting submit using IE 6. Only seems to happen during
a form submission, not a link to a URL. There is no error in the status
bar, only the "Done" message appears. What causes this and is there a
work-around either client side or server side? The common link seems to be
these forms use J(ava)script submit, and since it is a "packaged product"
can't really change the code...

I currently use ie v6 with xp. I notice that when I type the yahoo.com
address nothing appears and the status bar will say Done. I will hit go on
the address bar but will not display. I have try refresh and sometimes it
works. Any ideas as to why this is happening
