Starting Windows 2000 Very Slow

My computer is taking for ever to boot. I get to the
windows 2000 Screen with the blue bar scrolling along the
bottom and the system sits there for 3 to 5 Minutes. Not
sure why this is happening.

I have two errors in my Event Viewer the they are:

Logical Disk Manager hung during startup.
Distributed Link Tracking Client hung during startup.

Any ideas.

This happened to me numerous times on a server just prior to hardware
failure of one of the hard drives, fwiw.

Is this is a new installation? How is AD configured? How is DNS
configured? AD and DNS are joined at the hip and as a result you must have
DNS configured properly for the machine and network to run properly..
