Start up Problems

When I start up my computer, the windows blue start up screen comes up and
takes 2-3 mins before the user logon screen comes up. When I select a user
sometimes it will bring up the wallpaper of that user and then do nothing
else, and I have to switch it off at the power outlet to try and have another
go at starting it up. I have an Asus p4p800se motherboard, P4 3.2gig
processor, 2 meg RAM, Radeon 9600xt graphics card. I have run Registy
Mechanic, Spyware Doctor, and Anti Virus and there seems to be no problems.
