Start up error message

When I start up my computer, I always get a message in the BIOS system that
says:
Passwords have been cleared
Set switch to Clear Password to open before rebooting.

Does anyone have any idea as to how to fix this? My computer still works
but I have to push F1 everytime I start this computer before I can continue.

A few things to try:

- Set switch to Clear Password to open before rebooting. That would be
a jumper on the motherboard, most likely.

- Get a new battery for the motherboard. That might work if your
passwords are being cleared because the motherboard battery is dead and
the BIOS sees the cleared passwords each time you restart.

- Try a hardware or motherboard newsgroup where they've experienced
specific causes for this error message.

- Try a Google Groups search to see all archived discussions on this
error message:

Sounds like you have motherboard jumper set in the wrong position.
It is set to clear motherboard passwords and need to be set back in the "run" position.
You will need your motherboard manual to know which jumper and what is the "run" position.
