Start Menu Not working

OK I click start and it opens fine, mouse over "all programmes" and my
programmes appear but when I mouse over them they don't turn blue anymore and
when I click or double click nothing happens. At the same time this started
my keyboard won't work on an MMO I play. Anyone have any ideas?

First try this fix from Microsoft:

^Above as a registry file:

1. Copy below and paste into Notepad:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\exefile\shell\open\command]
@="\"%1\" %*"

----------copy inside only----------

2. Save-as Exe_Fix.reg (or any name + .reg)

3. Double-click or right-click and merge into the registry.

4. Restart your computer.


If that does not work, try this one:
