Standard VGA missing from INF

Just uninstalled my GFX drivers and now when windows 2000
does an auto search for the graphics card it cannot
install the standard vga controller (vga compaitble) it
says it has nothing or its missing from the inf.

I have tried a simple repair but the same, tried the
original drivers for the card but it can't find it.

Any ideas as to what files / inf / registry is needed to
correct this ?

Thx

Can you boot to Safe Mode? If so, boot to it and then
reinstall your video driver.

Tried that - It still won't install them.

An error occured during the installation of the device

The required section was not found in the INF

Basically I have removed something by uninstalling Nvidia
drivers probably a registry entry or a couple of dependant
files but I can't find out which ones.

Thx for reply...so far....
