Video Card problem

Hi

Just done a clean install of Win 2000 Pro. I'm trying to get the correct
drivers for my ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 (m7) on a Compaq Evo n610c notebook.

I've tried the drivers from Windows Update but the display flickers. I've
downloaded an exe from the AMD/ATI website but when I run it I get "INF error
- Video driver not found". After clicking OK I get "Setup was unable to
complete the installation. Try to setup your display adapter with a standard
VGA driver before running setup".

Any suggestions?

Compaq site for Laptop drivers specific to your sys.
To the best of my recollection ATI doesnt provide mobility drivers, but
directs users to the PC manu sites.
In any case winupdate is a definate no no for drivers
