SSDP Discovery Service

S

Stewart Smith

Hi,

During startup of an XP Pro machine I receive the following 2 events
repeated one after another in the system event log, upto 1000 times, over a
period of about a minute. During this time there doesnt appear to be any
performance problems and after startup everything appears to work ok. Whilst
it therefore doesnt appear to be causing any problems, it does mean that the
event log fills up very quickly and any other significant events tend to get
lost within all the other entries.

Can any one tell me what may be causing this?

Thanks
Stewart
