SSDP Discovery Service not installed

Win XP Pro

I'm trying to set up my Wireless Base Station and it
won't let me because I don't have uPnP enabled. Turns out
that I don't even have SSDP Discovery Service installed
on my system. I don't know how that happened, and better
yet, I don't know how to get it installed on my system.
There's not downlaod that I could find or any direction
to a CAB file.

Please help.

I've never tried this, but I think it might help.

Go to your \windows\inf folder, right click on netupnph.inf (make sure you
get the one with the h on the end), and click install.

Ken,

That worked!!!! I have been trying to figure out which
inf file to use for three days now. There is no
documentation on it that I could find. Great call. Thank
you very much.

Great! Thanks for posting back with the results.

It's not documented because it should be installed by default. Seems to be
a rash of disappearing services lately, I wonder where they are going....
