SQL Server and msde

Hi,

Could anyone tell me if sql ce server (ie. that used on
Windows CE devices) can connect / sync to MSDE (Or SQL
Server desktop) on the pc? Or can it only work with the
full blown SQL Server operating?

MSDE 2000 is supposedly comatible with SQL Server 7.0
features, but I can't find any references to ce devices.
