Sportsline Gamecenter Web Browser Applet Control causes IE error

When in CBS Sportsline.com Gamecenter, an Internet Explorer error occurs near
the end of the video (commercial) "Internet Explorer has encountered an error
and must shut down...". I have determined that it is the Web Browser Applet
Control add-on that is causing the error. However, disabling the add-on
affects the web page. Is anyone else having this problem and does anyone
have a fix? Thanks.

Hi,

It may simply be that the applet is corrupted. Try deleting it and then
revisiting the page to reinstall it.

The Manage Add-ons process can enable or disable an add-on. How do I delete
an add-on? Thanks.

Hi,

Open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows\Downloaded Program files, locate it and
remove it.

Thank you for the information. But, a friend is experiencing the same error
on her machine. It appears that the Sportsline applet is not properly coded
for the October 11 Windows Updates. I reported the error to the website.
The only other thing I could do is uninstall the Windows updates and I'm not
going to do that. Hopefully, enough people will report the error that the
Sportsline web developers will fix the applet.
