A user is getting a popup warning upon login (see event log entry below).

This started last friday and another Tech ran chkdsk and the user was able to print a few times before they left at end of day, not able to print today. I ran the chkdsk but no luck.

The print spooler service will not start, when forced the popup shows.

I have removed and replaced spoolsv.exe with no luck.

System info:
Dell Latitude D620
WinXP SP2
Printers are networked, HP 8150 and Kyocera Mita FS-3830

welcome to PCR

Try this ...

Click Start / Run / cmd ... press enter

type ... net stop spooler ... press enter

Turn off any printers that the PC is connected to either directly or over the network.

Open windows Explorer and navigate to C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS

Delete all the files there (usually they will have an .SHD and .SPL extension)
Turn on the Printer(s)

Click Start / Run / cmd ... press enter

type ... net start spooler ... press enter
