=============================
With Speed Typing, you can type frequently used text quickly and easily.
You just type a word, and Speed Typing will automatically replace it
with a line or a paragraph.
=============================

140kb download.

Simple app, does what it is supposed to. I will play with it for a
while.

Anybody recommend the best of this sort of app for 98SE?

Sad to follow up one's own post, but this is a very good app. It is
performing equally well on the low spec and higher spec 98SE machines.
I'm slowly working out how to use it best.
It can help my crappy typing by letting me specify, eg, "IVE" (in lower
case) becomes "I've", which is a serious help to me.
I am also looking at it for basic boilerplate stuff, eg, "TWI" (in lower
case) becomes http://www.thewonderfulicon.com/pages/features.htm
It also has right click access to the last 15 items sent to the
clipboard.
Any "keyword" can expand to a "phrase" of up to 8192 chars. That's a
lot...

This is a serious piece of kit, of value both to the useless typist and
someone seeking a boilerplate tool.

This is probably it. Small file size, low resource use, simple; I like
this app.

Pattern I have myself. But here you are adding information found later,
and the bad method would be to start a new thread. I think it's really
if one starts exchanging niceties with oneself ("hi, me, nice post, how
ya been?") that things would look really worrisome. :)

Thank you for the review. You've convinced me to give it a run. I've no
useful contribution to make here at present, as the app is right now simply
sitting in my inbox... But can say you've made it sound to represent one
of those strategies well worth considering for integration into one's working
habits.
