I downloaded and installed SP4. After startup I receive
the following error on the Blu Screen.

STOP: 0x0000000A (0xBAD0B0BC, 0x000000FF, 0x00000000,
0x80416B67)
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

ADDRESS 80416B67 base at 80400000, DATESTAMP 3ee6c002 -
NTOSKRNL.EXE

If I go to safe mode and uninstal SP4 everything is back
to normal. I will then change some things, try to install
again and repet the process.

Can anybody help me

I also encontered SP4 install problems with Win2k Pro. I
had 3 machines with fresh win2k installs and after the
install of sp4 either by download(which takes 4ever) or
thru the network distribution all 3 would not boot after
the install of sp4. I removed sp4 and installed sp3 and
left it at that. this is a more common problem than MS
will admit I have been finding more and more questions and
threads about first boot issuse recently, so until MS
admits something is wrong and fixes it I wont install sp4!

SUS installed sp4 on all our computers, 139, without
issue. Some people having problems doesn't mean there is a
problem with SP4. All our computers are running better
after installing the update, and they all updated
perfectly. Check your drivers and the like, there may be
an incompatibility issue that can be corrected by
installing the latest drivers.

Then again, the problem may be with windows and certain
manufacturers. There may be some cpu or motherboard
manufacturers that have poorly made products that don't
play well with Windows. Making a perfect software
application is impossible, too many variables that cannot
be controlled by the developers.
