SP2 has corrupted Norton AV 2003 - Help!

I installed SP2 earlier this afternoon and everything seemed fine
afterwards, except of course the Security Center virus protection
warning, which I set to "I'll monitor myself".

However, I have just opened Norton AV 2003 and the System Status page
is a sea of "Error"s in red and the overall System Status is "Urgent
Attention". It's not completely dead: LiveUpdate seems to be working
and it is still scanning my email, apparently. I don't know whether
Automatic LiveUpdate will work or whether it will let me update the
virus definition when there is actually something to update. One thing
that is definitely broken is Script Blocking: on the ScriptBlocking
tab in Options, there is a red warning "ScriptBlocking is not
installed or is not installed correctly."

I can't uninstall and then reinstall Norton AV because I bought the
downloaded version without a CD and I foolishly deleted it after the
successful installation.

If this can't be fixed, I am thinking about getting the 2005 upgrade
which is coming out in mid September. Is it OK to install the 2005
upgrade over this broken 2003 version? Is it OK to uninstall the 2003
version before installing the 2005 upgrade, since I am getting the
cheaper 2005 upgrade version, as opposed to the 2005 version proper?

Thanks.

I don't think that there is anything wrong. The red stuff just means
that you haven't run a full virus scan of your entire computer
"recently" (where "recently" may be only a few days)

I think these are questions for Symantec. They should know the definite
answers. My gut feeling about installing an upgrade over anything
broken is "don't do it", but Symantec should know for sure.

I am talking about the word "Error" in red appearing at the end of
each setting on the Status page.
