SP2 Final installed smoothly over RC2

Thought folks would like to know that after I downloaded SP2 (specifically WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe) and executed it from the local hard disk the update was problem free.

I also had 3 SP2 RC2 machines (updated from RC1) that I successfully updated
to RTM without any problems.

Looks like SP2 install is a good one. I installed it over XP Pro with only
updates, XP Pro with RC1, XP Pro with RC2, XP Home with just regular
updates, and XP Home with no updates. It went smoothly on all occasions.
These installs were on desktops and laptops. Absolutely no problems.

Me too.
I installed it on my laptop but I am having one problem. I
have a conflict between my wireless USB and/or CMCIA
adapter and wireless mouse. They worked ok together with
SP1 but right after the update, when both are plugged
in,windows keeps dumping until I remove one.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Phil

I would suggest that you look for updated drivers for both of the USB
devices. Then check to see if there is an update for your computer and the
USB Host adapter. I have a WI-FI NIC on a PC card , a USB cordless mouse,
and a USB web cam hooked up to my dell laptop, and all are working well
together.

Thanks for the tip and insurance that there are no real
wireless conflicts. I'll try to find new driver updates
tonight.

Quick question though. I was using the Belkin utility and
driver on the USB wireless adapter 54G and the D-link
utility and driver on the CMCIA adapter, again 54g. Would
it be betrter to scratch the utilities and use MS wireless
configuraton and drivers?

As for the mouse, I have an A4tech 8 button. I hope they
may have a new driver available by now.

Thanks
Phil

Try it and see if it works. If it does, then your problems are over.
