SP2 and low virtual memory on Fba

hello... i heve a nano 7240 with 128 mb ram and 256 mb compact flash.
I just updated my xpe to SP2. i have just updated two of my runtimes to sp2
(with the firewall). The problem is that one of them (the "bigger") in the
fba process shows an "low of virtual memory error".... and some more.
When the fba finish, the sistem restart and seems to work (no more errors).

Do i need more ram to do the fba? I have done always the fba in the nano
7240 with the compcat flash, could i do the fba in my pc or something like
that?

thankssss

Hi Jozu,

You should run FBA on a HDD and then transfer the image to the CF if you are
not using EWF RAM.
FBA does a lot of writing to the CF and will therefore wear it out pretty
soon (and I suggest you consider to use EWF RAM to protect it anyway).

BTW, I am currently also using a Nano 7240 128MB RAM, XPe SP2, Firewall etc,
but 512MB CF and getting the same error. It also reports "COM+ Setup error"
something... and "Contact Microsoft....." by phone in the US. However, I
just click OK twice and then all is working fine.

Could someone please tell me what this COM+ Setup error means? Or can I just
ignore it?

BR,
Rob

hello rob,
thanks... and that's exactly my problem. First a "low of virtual memory
error" and then a "COM+ Setup error".

somebody any ideas????????

this is most likely caused by low memory resources. i have face this problem
all the time if i have an image with more than 180 mb in size( running on
256mb CF) and have only 128mb ram... my normal solution is run fba with
256mb ram then have it switch back to 128mb after fba.
