You will once you install the audio drivers, and any other drivers the
system might need.

To hear sound on a computer you need:

1. A motherboard with a sound chip (must be enabled in the BIOS); or
2. A sound card and an installed sound card driver; and
3. Speakers or earphones.

If you are using USB earphones, you generally don't require a sound chip
or a sound card.

Make sure any 'mute' controls are disabled.

Hello,

Look for a CD with the keyword 'driver' that should have came with your
desktop. Some systems come with a CD just for the sound card. Insert the CD
and follow instructions.

Alternatively, post back your system brand and model and we can try locating
the software for you.
