No Sound {Sound Blaster Live! Digital 1024 Software}

I'm using a Dell Dimension 4500. My OS is Windows XP Professional.
I had been having trouble with my sound.
After exhausting all possible ways to get it back, Dell sent a technician to
install a new sound card.
Now, I have sound.
However, everytime I restart or turn off my computer and restart or turn it
back on I don't have sound.
If I uninstall my Modem, {BCM V.92 56K Voicemodem}, I have sound.

Your Dell PC should have come with a modem installation disk. Look for it.
Now go to Start/Control Panel/Phone and Modem/
Modems tab/Properties/diagnostcis tab - now you can troubleshoot.
You may need to reinstall the drivers.
