Sound on Startup

Frank

I have just moved from Windows NT 4.0 Workstation to
Windows XP Professional. The startup sound I had
activated on Windows NT was the stereo sound of a
fabulous clap of thunder passing from one speaker to the
other. I assume this was a wav file but can't confirm
this and don't know its name.

Since moving to XP, I cannot see that this file is
installed with XP. Can't see any sounds there to compare
for me so I have no sound activated at present. A bit
boring. Can anyone confirm whether or not the clap of
thunder is installed on Windows XP Pro. I love storms
and would like to install it again on my current system.
So, can anyone tell me the name of the file I need to
install? Better still, can anyone send it to me.

Thanks, Frank

Go to sounds in control-panel,system sounds,L.click an
action or event, browse,xp will disclose all sounds,
however xp plus! nature-sounds,would be top choice to
look(an xp add-on).

XP doesn't add a "clap of thunder type sound".

I don't recall a clap of thunder type sound when I was using NT 4 either
so it might have been something that was installed by the OP.

Andrew E might well have not responded because he added nothing but
simply said "Go to sounds in control-panel,system sounds" where the
sound doesn't exist.

BTW. Where can we get XP Plus Nature-Sounds?
