Sorting Favorites in IE 6 with Windows 2K

Situation: I'm using Internet Explorer 6.0 on a machine
running Windows 2000, and I want to sort my "Favorites"
aphabetically.

The following instructions, which I found on the MS
website, don't work for me...

To put your Internet Explorer 6.0 Favorites in
alphabetical order, follow these steps:
Start Internet Explorer.
Click Favorites, and then select a single Favorites icon
from the list.
Right-click the icon, and then click Sort by Name.

When I right-click, "Sort by Name" is not an available
option. NOTE: It is an option when I view my "Programs"
menu from the Start menu, and it works there...just not in
Internet Explorer.

Ideas?

Hi,
Make sure that you're doing this from the Favorites button on the IE toolbar
or from Start Button> Favorites. It won't work from the Favorites explorer
bar (Favorites pane.)

Sorting Favorites Alphabetically

This requires a registry tweak:

By deleting the favorite sub-key in the regsitry, you can enable this task.

Open Favorites from the menu item, not the toolbar icon. Then right click
any of them and choose Sort by Name.
NOTE: It won't work if you have more than 193 favorite in the list.
