Windows XP sony application - resource dll error ( 1-277)

Windows XP - After using PC recovery, my HP lap top is back to default settings. The sony picture package which I had loaded is gone missing and instead the following message appears on starting the windows:

sony application

resource dll error
(1-277)

Will somebody help as to what is to be done?

You need to re-install the sony picture package .
