Some pages show as totally Blank (more info)

Note that this is a clean, fully updated computer. Ad
aware scans run clean, etc..

I've had this issue on this computer where many web pages
show as totally blank (just a white page, no text, no
error etc..)

It's only on certain pages such as www.avis.com or
www.yellowpages.ca

I simply can't access them. I've tried resetting my
settings, lowering security, removing all updates,
reinstalling updates, etc..

Please advise :(*

Hi

I am not sure whether is it the same scenario. I have this
problem of going to certain web sites, it displayed the
correct main web page for a while, then it become blank
after a few secs.

Ran Ad-aware also, but still cannot solve the problem. I
also seeking high and low for solution.

Notice the problem only when I have web pages displayed
with some word becoming a URL links automatically after a
few secs.

Best Regards

Try this. Got it from the Explorer FAQ here, It worked
for me.

Click start, run, type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, click OK.
You should see a message that it succeded.
Hope it works for you.
If not, there are other options in the FAQ

Well, I spoke too soon. This only worked once. I was able
to view the previously blank pages and eventhough I
retyped the command above again it doed not work now.

In the faq it says you can type the command with some
otehr file names. I tried this and get an error message
on 2 files (they are not found). They are: shdocvm.dll and
shell32.dll.

Can I get these files somewhere?

J

Josh fixed it

I found that if I create a new identity (user), the new
user can view all sites

now I have to move all my files and settings over to the
new user which is going to be a pain in the butt..
