some menu items disabled

I am using outlook2003. I see a strange thing; 'Help' button on menu bar,
'print' and 'send/receive' buttons on toolbar are disabled. How can enable
all these buttons?

What type of email account are you using? Exchange? POP3? IMAP? When did
these items stop working? What did you do just prior to them not working?
Is this in all folders or only specific ones?

I am using gmail accounts with outlook. I do not remember what I exactly did
before it was working ok, but during that period the new thing I did was the
installation of testing software from Certiport.com.
The testing software also did not work, and certiport support asked me to
un-install all MSOffice software and install it all again. I think when I
will re-install MSOffice, this outlook error might go but I need to know how
can I preserve my outlook accouts settings before reinstallation.
