Slow Printing on new XP Pro system.

I have replaced a computer running Windows ME with a new system (P4 2.8, 512
Mb Ram) running Win XP pro. The attached printer is a HP LaserJet 4Si. This
system is used in a tax office with heavy printing requirements. With the
old system the printer would print pages continuously, now with the new
system it prints one page pauses for 2-3 seconds and then prints another
page. I have changed almost every setting I could think of that might be
causing this problem with no solution. The printer works fine on another
system running W98SE. It seems like Win XP spools the file and then only
sends one page at a time. The printer has 2Mb of memory. I could use some
help on this one.

I have a similar problem. An office I serve upgraded to XP with
mulitple network printers. New drivers were downloaded and installed.

Print spooling takes minutes and the box is frozen.
