slow PC after windows live

Trying to speed up my PC, I ran windows live. Prior to it running, 2 script
error messages came up. One was an invalid character on line 2. The URL said
"about blank". The other error was on line 73, character 1, "object
expected". The URL said "about blank". It asked me if I wanted to continue
running windows live - I said yes. After many, many hours of windows live, I
still have a very slow PC. What else can slow it down?

Please be specific as to which one you are talking about.
