Slow network browsing

I am upgrading office computers from 2000 to XP Pro. We
have a Windows2000 Server using Active Directory. On the
machines with XP Pro I am seeing a 15-20 second delay
when browsing a network directory or when trying to open
a file on the network. It doesn't happen with the
machines running 2000. Any Idens?
